What if Buick/Opel build both the Avista and the GT, and sell them globally?
The Cascada could be replaced by a convertible version of the Avista.
And a GT roadster would give the Fiat 124 Spider a run for its money.
With Chevy out of the EU, and with Cadillac hoping to establish a distribution network there around 2020, the Avista could be GM’S only chance to sell an Alpha platform car to Europeans.
And in return, we get a nimble, little Euro-style sports car, fine tuned on the twisty roads of the Alps or something like that.
It’s a win-win for everyone.

Opel/Vauxhall had a small sports convertible for decades (lotus based and then in-house) but lost them during the restructuring.
it’s time for another and in europe a scirocco/miata sized hatchback would find a lot of interest. Stateside it gives the domestics something worth talking about when the miata/brz and some smaller sports coupe hinted by toyota become reality.

Bruegel did that one in a Boschian vein, after Bosch. Bosch liked his freaky mutations and creepiness, but he didn’t have a Demon Murder Skeletons Go Bananas painting as such.
